Tracy Lyn Collantes
A 21-year old Organizational Communication graduate from De La Salle University-Manila, I’m bound to be anything but typical. A different persona in different circumstances, I live in a fairy tale embedded in the core of reality. Eccentric in all aspects, I laugh at the most mundane things, and live to seize each moment. Gaze and witness me undergo a revolution. Gyrating right before your very eyes, I provoke, amaze, inflame, and stun with or without permission.
Having been given the opportunity to have worked at STATUS as an intern, turn Editorial Assistant, allowed me to meet and converse with influential and iconic personalities of today. Still fueled by things that inspire me, I'm a freelance stylist, writer, dance artist and quite excited to find out what's next. The mind can indeed change the world.

(via STATUS)
Our Rebel issue 05 cover genius, Jeremy Scott, takes the Bedrock to the catwalk in his recent London Week fashion show. Stone Age meets pop culture as neon palettes, crazy bones and prints that scream growl take over the Flintstones inspired collection. Now wouldn’t Wilma and Betty just love these?
Rest of the entry’s up in here

GaGa In Status MagazineMUST BUY THIS.
Last Monday, I was reading this issue in between classes. That time was pretty much boring for me and the prof hasn’t arrived yet anyway. I think it was before our first meeting for Insocio? Haha.
Grab your copies guys cus we’re currently almost running out!
Much love,

This was taken @ National Bookstore.
Yeah, I always re-arrange the magazines there. If you happen to see the racks like this, it’s because I was probably just there placing STATUS in front of your face. But check this…
MAJOR STATUS NEWS:
We are selling in Colette!
(This is a major goal ticked off my list by the way.)
For those who don’t know, Colette is one of the most influential boutiques in the world. Sarah, the buyer and creative director, is one of the most respected tastemakers in the scene. (In other words, I look up to her.)
Thank you God for this Leap. Help me get to the next one.
Much Love,
V
HAHAHA I DO THIS TOO! We’re almost there V! Status is going global;)

Our words, our thoughts, our vision in Print.
Aw STATUS….The magazine of my dreams. Sometimes I can’t believe how we are able to connect with amazing people from all over the world- & I’ll quote the most popular comment I get, “This magazine is from the Philippines???” Yes son. Believe it.
One year ago I started contributing articles- now I’m actually contributing Ideas.
Nothing beats the feeling of seeing your name on the by line, and having your favorite boutique in Paris hit you up for copies.
I can only wonder how 2010 will be like. Each day brings a new challenge…but for now I’ll just appreciate each day and take it one article at a time.
Goosebumps, Butterflies, Endorphins,
V
Ditto to what V said. But as for me, interning with Status and working with such great minds each day is such an awesome experience. It opened my eyes to all things I couldn’t possibly thought I would get to do. I used to always watch The Hills cause I wondered how it would feel like to intern for Teen Vogue like Lauren, and Devil Wears Prada as I would have given anything to work with a genius like Miranda. But I got ten times more…I got to intern for Status Magazine, which thrives on culture and the future, more than just a collage of photos and blurbs printed on glossy pages. I got hired as an Editorial Assistant which was such a blessing. I get to interview great personalities like artists from France. Peeking into their minds as if I were with them, sipping coffee at a small coffee shop by Champ de Mars. I work with such an awesome team which I now feel like my second fam. Daily grind is what keeps us bonded. And I LOVE IT. I learn a lot from each one of ‘em, especially from R and V, who have become my mentors and role models. I’ve grown these past couple of months cause of the experiences I go through. From handling shoots and bookings, to pulling out clothes, shoes, and accessories, the interviews, editing articles and questions, basically each day I work with the Status Team is amazing.
Grateful more than I can say (or in this case write),
